Of course, you somehow managed to fail to post this on the Roleplaying Discussion board Razz

No OoC speak this time around! Since this forum is ours, we get a nifty section for OoC comments for each RP Very Happy

Okay. I want to do something. I'm not sure what... maybe I'm a little sure. I may write little episodic tales if I stop being lazy. I've already written [what I take to be] a neat opening scene.

A thief teams up with a mage to pull off a magnificent heist! Also, spellcheck apparently doesn't recognise heist as a word, so I checked my spelling and I'm right. Stupid spellcheck. Spellcheck also doesn't recognise spellcheck as a word.

Anywaaaaay (all the a's make this unrecognisable as a word as well), what I need from you, the lovely audience, is something awesome worth stealing. Not some generic treasure, mind you. Something a mage would team up with a thief to steal for reasons more than just money. But not a ridiculously powerful magical artifact either. That's overdone. You see my creative block here?

*snaps fingers*

A CORPSE.

*snaps fingers again*

WAIT. THE PRESIDENT'S CORPSE.

The mage wants to reanimate a corpse for whatever and so enlists the help of a thief! Or something similar.

Zip... ... ... You... are...

... ... ... BRILLIANT!

Thank you so much, actually! That gave me a great idea. The mage lies to the thief by telling him he's after a precious treasure worth a lot of money, and that they'll split the profits. Only, in a surprise twist, the treasure turns out to be... a corpse! Or, you know, a living body in suspended animation.

Now more questions... it could be the mage's sister perhaps? Too Simon and River Tam... Hmmmmmm...

Edit: Aha! Magic is illegal unless supervised by the government! The mage is an illegal mage, as is his father who is held captive by the Deft Hands, an organization of ninja-like mage-hunters that work for the government to hunt for illegal mages. The mage's father was deemed "too dangerous to be free, but too useful to be killed."

At this point I'm just thinking out loud, basically.

Make it a grandmother, and I think you're onto something.

I mean, seriously, no one ever has grandmothers in these stories.

Ehhh, I'm crazy. Don't listen to me.

But corpse is cool Very Happy

A magician ought to have a symbol to represent him, wouldn't you agree?

So there's Artur's emblem. Wait one second... what happens when you look at the same image upside down? Hmm...

I wonder if Artur is a member of the Iluminati?

Ahm...guys?

I'm not trying to accuse...well, accuse is a pretty strong word. Ahm...I...Ooh, what was I going to say? Ahm...

Maybe...you...could, err...Ahm...

Guys? I really enjoy your roleplay and all, but you haven't forgotten Moze and I have you? *cowers*

Right. So I'm just going to...duck exit out through the back, okay?

*pokes head back in* But...it's not like I'm forcing you or anything, if you don't really want us...ahm...yeah. You know what? Nevermind...I've got...ahm...webcomics. Yeah, webcomics I need to get to. So...through the back?

...Through the back.

No cowering, Zip, your point is perfectly valid and I sincerely apologize if you feel left out. I'm certainly not feeling accused or anything defensive like that. In fact, I sympathize, and you have nothing to apologize for. You are absolutely in the right here. It's not nice of us to focus completely on Skybound, and ignore Clueless, if that's what you are referring to.

For me, the reason it is difficult for me to post on Clueless, is because I feel a lot of pressure to keep things moving. I'm trying to encourage everyone to post what they want, when they want! Please go ahead and develop plots and characters and my characters will react accordingly. I can run this murder plot, but I can't take charge of everything and it's just difficult for me to make every post a huge, info-dumping one. I can do one of those this evening to get some things stabilized, but the point of a roleplay is collaboration, and it's okay for you all to take things in a different direction. These sorts of things don't really have a planned end. In Willow, the stories hardly ended up going the absolute way someone wanted them to.

Is that at all helpful? If not, tell me why, and we'll reach an understanding eventually, I hope.

For you Zip, I will post in Clueless before finishing my Skybound post.

But first: dinner. Long day + boring train ride = hungry!
