A PLOT OUTLINE Empty A PLOT OUTLINE

This is where we should work out a basic plot outline. What will happen when, etc. so we know in what general direction we are going in and don't flounder around too terribly.

I wouldn't mind trying a 50,000 word month-long group flounder (or maybe 100,000 words of floundering!) but this idea doesn't seem like it would hold up well in that sort of situation.

Time to start brainstorming, eh?

I don't know how many people are actually keen on the "floating prison in an invisible citadel with crazy physics rooms" idea, haha.

I think most people have expressed an interest in something medievalish with magic. Should we do something Arthurian?

I do actually really like the floating prison idea. I think either way it would be fun, but the floating prison with the invisible citadel thing just sounds quite awesome. I'm not sure if we decided on why they'd be in the prison though.

I am, very keen. That's just a brilliant idea. I love it.

YES ARTHURIAN BECAUSE IT IS AWESOME! Ahem.

Why in the prison? Well because some crazed ruler wants to keep them away from... something or someone, because they know something that could ruin him, take down his evil kingdom and restore something (the use of magic, or something else, I don't know), freeing all the occupants of the past, good kingdom that he buried beneath the evil one from their statue-esque forms. Yup.

Or not. I don't know.

I like that, Elfie. Perhaps they are all some sort of archaeologists/magic workers/studious peoples who have gotten dangerously close to the knowledge of this past, good kingdom. Maybe the evil person resides in this tower, and traps them there so they can't do anything but he underestimates HUMAN INGENUITY and they get out and start wreaking havoc and being nosy and clever anyway.

If this is the case, I wonder if we could write this a bit whimsically. I wouldn't mind practicing whimsical. Human 'ingenuity' could be something we take really, really seriously...
